Part 145 Management

Manual Authoring and Audit Preparation for Part 145 Stations

Part 145 Management is a workspace for authoring the documentation that defines an FAA Part 145 repair station and preparing the audits that examine it. Manual authoring is performed by engineers and quality specialists, with AI used to accelerate research, drafting, and consistency. Coverage is currently US only, with active expansion underway.

What this covers

  • Repair Station Manual (RSM) authoring
  • Quality Control Manual (QCM) authoring
  • Training Program Manual (TPM) authoring
  • Capability list buildout and substantiation
  • Audit preparation for FAA surveillance and internal self-audit
  • Selected high-level internal process structuring

The problem

A Part 145 certificate is held together by its manuals. Initial certification, capability expansions, and ongoing surveillance all turn on whether the documentation is current, internally consistent, and traceable to actual operations. Authoring and revision typically falls to a small group whose time is the binding constraint.

How the workspace works

01

Engineering-authored manuals

The RSM, QCM, TPM, and supporting procedures are authored directly by engineers and quality specialists. AI accelerates research, drafting, and consistency checks. Authority over content remains with the engineering team.

02

Capability list management

Each rating and limited rating capability is substantiated with traceable equipment, training, and procedure linkages. Capability changes propagate through the supporting documentation.

03

Audit preparation

Self-audit programs, FAA surveillance preparation, finding response, and corrective action workflows are structured for repeat use across audit cycles.

04

Internal process structuring

Selected high-level internal processes are formalized in the workspace as the engagement defines. Supported processes continue to expand.

Coverage

Jurisdiction

FAA Part 145, US only

Active expansion roadmap. EASA Part 145 and Transport Canada AMO support are not currently in scope.

Outcomes

Manuals that meet FAA expectations and survive surveillance cleanly
Faster path to capability expansion through traceable substantiation
Reduced burden on internal quality and engineering teams
Continuous audit readiness rather than periodic scrambles

Who uses this

Part 145 Management is used by the Accountable Manager, Director of Quality, Director of Maintenance, Chief Inspector, and engineering leadership at FAA Part 145 repair stations.
