Maintenance Records

Forward-Deployed Records Analysis and Resolution

Maintenance Records is an engineering service for analyzing and resolving aircraft maintenance and compliance records at scale. Forward-deployed engineers, records specialists, and aviation domain experts work directly with airline, operator, lessor, and MRO teams. Internal AI tooling accelerates throughput. Engineers carry authority over every finding.

What this supports

  • Aircraft acquisition and pre-purchase technical evaluation
  • Induction into service
  • Lease return and redelivery
  • Cross-jurisdiction transitions, including FAA and EASA
  • Mid-lease audits and continuous records oversight

The problem

Aircraft records are large, fragmented, and unstructured. Verification requires reconstructing maintenance and compliance history across Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, life-limited parts, repairs, modifications, STCs, task cards, and supporting 8110 and 8130 documentation. Manual review is time-intensive and frequently surfaces discrepancies late, when timelines are constrained and costs escalate.

How the engagement works

01

Analyze records at scale

Internal AI tooling ingests and processes full records datasets, including large unstructured document sets. Maintenance, compliance, and certification data are extracted and linked across sources.

02

Identify and structure discrepancies

Each finding is structured with the affected component or aircraft, the source document and evidence trace, confidence and reasoning, operational and financial impact, recommended next action, and responsible stakeholder.

03

Provide stakeholder-specific outputs

Outputs are tailored to internal teams. Records receive document-level discrepancies and traceability gaps. Maintenance and engineering receive actionable compliance issues. Fleet and asset management receive transition readiness and risk exposure. Finance receives cost exposure, penalties, and valuation impact.

04

Drive resolution

Engagements move beyond analysis to execution. Resolution paths include coordination with DERs, DARs, MROs, and other parties, sourcing of missing documentation, and end-to-end management of resolution workflows where required. Resolution is supported by EE Atlas, the integrated marketplace.

Engagement model

Engagements begin with a scoped initial phase and scale by results. Forward-deployed engineers and domain experts work directly with internal teams. On-site engagement is recommended for the initial phase. Following the initial phase, workflows are streamlined and productized where possible.

Typical turnaround

24 to 72 hours

Depending on scope and data complexity.

Outcomes

Earlier identification of high-impact discrepancies
Improved visibility across records, maintenance, fleet, and finance stakeholders
Reduced transition delays and operational risk
Clear linkage between technical findings and financial exposure
Structured, decision-ready outputs for internal systems and workflows

Who engages this service

Maintenance Records engagements are sponsored by VP and SVP Technical Operations, VP Maintenance and Engineering, COO, and Head of Fleet or Asset Management. Supporting teams typically include technical records, maintenance planning and engineering, fleet management, asset trading, and finance.
