A conformity records evidence review checks that the articles a modifier tested, and the installations it inspected, were built to a configuration the certification basis actually controls. It is run for an STC program before submittal, during a finding response, or ahead of a design change, by or for the modifier that owns the data package. The work reads each conformity statement against the drawing state, part identity, and test-readiness record it claims, then flags where a test article was never tied to the configuration the credit rests on. The problem
Conformity is the hinge that turns a test result into approved-data credit, and it is the first thing to slip when a program runs late. Articles get built, tested, and modified faster than the paperwork that pins each one to a drawing state, so a report can pass its test while the specimen it was run on drifts away from any controlled configuration. By submittal the modifier holds a stack of conformity statements that read fine one at a time but do not connect the tested hardware to the design the credit is claimed against.

Frequently asked questions
Can a later drawing revision cover a test we already ran?
No. A conformity statement fixes the article to the drawing state at the moment of inspection. If the drawing was revised afterward, the earlier test still only demonstrates the earlier configuration, and crediting it against the new revision requires a fresh conformity or a documented equivalence.
